Models disappear. Some entry devices simply are not being replaced.

Why this matters more than a price rise
A phone that costs ₹2,000 more is an inconvenience. A phone with 4GB of RAM instead of 6GB, or 64GB of storage instead of 128GB, is a shorter-lived device.
Storage cannot be upgraded after purchase. RAM determines how many apps stay open before reloading, and it ages badly as apps grow. Buying a specification-reduced phone in 2026 means replacing it sooner — which means the saving was never real.
What to buy instead

Why the comparison favours renewed right now

Confirm the device still gets iOS updates. The iPhone XR, XS and XS Max were dropped at iOS 26. They still work but receive no new major versions. Fine as a second phone; not as a primary one you keep three years.
